When I walk into a workshop and see a young person’s face light up because they’ve just created something beautiful — that’s impact. That’s empowerment in its purest form. Creative education is one of the most powerful tools we have for community change. It builds confidence, improves mental health, and teaches problem-solving and teamwork in ways that traditional education often can’t.
When people think of innovation, they picture Silicon Valley — but they should be looking at the Caribbean. We’ve been innovating for centuries — we just called it making do . Caribbean design has always been rooted in problem-solving, community, and creativity. We’ve built from scarcity and turned it into spectacle. That’s innovation at its finest.
